My goodness, the weather surely has been weird of late. Worst November and December weather in decades in Europe, and a very cold December here in much of the continental U.S. (fondly known to us meteorologists as the CONUS). And today, the winter storm ..... NOT in D.C. however. Cold and some light snow, below freezing temperatures all day. But not even an inch of snow, even though some computer models at one point or another were giving a forecast of 1-2" of liquid equivalent (10-20" of snow with a 10:1 frozen to liquid ratio). I as a major snow weenie was very disappointed. But I guess we got our share last year:
